August 24th - Framing is Almost Complete

The pop-out window is complete:

The dining room ceiling is framed:

The double-pocket window between the kitchen and great room is framed:

The roof-line of the back of the house is complete and the chimney (which I totally forgot about) was framed.  This is the view from the back yard; you can't see the chimney from the front of the house unless you're in the middle of the street.

Plywood was laid on the floor of the attic which really helps show how much storage space I'll have up there:

Gerry and kenny installed the sliding glass door in the studio:

I kept hearing an unusual bird sound tonight and found 3 small parrots (cherry-headed Conure Parrots) hanging out in the neighbor's tree.  They reminded me of the documentary, "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill"....a must see.
