We bought MDF moulding with primer to save time with the finish painting. When we started to lay them out for a coat of final paint, we found the surfaces were rough so we started early in the morning by lightly hand sanding 1600 linear feet of crown moulding.
We then laid them out all along the back of the shop so they could be painted using a sprayer.
We covered the back wall of the shop to prevent overspray on the wall and we rigged up tarps overhead so the moulding would not be in the direct sun while painting or drying.
After the first coat of paint, Gerry and Cliff moved into the house to paint the ceilings.
We moved Fred outside so he would not be in the way or in all the paint spray in the air in the house.
